First Day of School

Today was my first day of classes. I only have one class a day, and today was Latin America and its Cultures. This is going to be a very interesting class because it is being taught by an Anthropologist, so it is very relevant to my major.

After class I came home and then the rain started..

Luckily, it didn't last very long though, and I was able to go out on my bike and explore more. This time I came prepared with a rain jacket and waterproof phone case, but I ended up not needing it. Oh well, its better to be over-prepared than under.

The only thing that was really bad about my bike were the grips. They were plastic feeling and very uncomfortable. I headed to the bike shop right around the corner and got a pair of one of my favorite bmx grips! Now my bike is dialed...well for being a $130 bike it is..

I rode around and around and went back and forth to the house multiple times so that I knew that I could get home. This was very helpful because there are no street signs anywhere, just landmarks.

After dinner, pretty much the whole group of us Americans headed to the bars to have a few drinks. It was a good time to say the least, but pretty funny too since there was a group of about 30 loud gringos. Ah well, gotta embrace it
