Happy Friday

It has officially been a week today since I have arrived (not counting arriving on Thursday night)! I have been taken in as family from some of the nicest people I have met, gone through all my classes, eaten some of the consistently best food I have had, bought a bike and learned my way around town, met some really cool Americans, spoken mucho español, met some local kids who ride bikes and have become good friends with them, spent hours moving dirt, visited the beautiful Costa Rican countryside, and the list could go on! Despite having so much rain, I have been able to do an incredible amount and I already feel like I am falling into a routine here. I love this country and I love speaking Spanish. This has already been life changing, and I have only scratched the surface! Bring it on

Today I had Society and Environment in the morning. It is supposed to start at 8, but we waited for half hour and no teacher. Turns out he takes a bus here from San Jose and doesn't arrive until 8:30, so right when we were about to leave he shows up. Friday classes are going to start at 8:45 now, I'm okay with that!

I then headed home and ate a very good lunch, as always, then headed to Francisco's. We dug for a solid 4-5 hours, with mini riding breaks in between and then when we called it a day, we rode for a bit until the rain came.

I am pretty sore from digging and falling trying inverted 3's, but so stoked! Such a productive day at the Hope Progression Compound.

Tonight is the start of week long festivities for Día Del San Ramón. There is going to be live music in the center of downtown and I am excited to put use to my dance lessons from yesterday...if I'm not too sore haha.

Repping a hometown brand, riding bmx!
