Today, woke up and went to Tropical Forest Ecology. In this class, we are going to be conducting a research project on whatever we want that has to do with the forest and how it operates. During class we got to go out and walk around the reserve on campus and observe different things, like wasp nests with hundreds of thousands of wasps swarming on and around it, and whatever else we noticed and wanted to know about!

| The largest and oldest bamboo I have ever seen! The stalks were at least 6 inches in diameter and probably around 40 feet tall |
Got home, ate lunch, and headed to Francisco's. When I got there it was nice and warm so I rode Jimmy's bike for a bit which was nice, but then we heard a super loud noise that sounded like rushing water nearby. Then it came down hard...for hours.
A large pool was forming in between one of the jumps, so we dug out a drainage ditch then headed underneath the overhang. Some of the tools needed some TLC, so we spent the next few hours sharpening shovels and fixing wheelbarrows.
Got home, ate dinner, and then chilled for a bit before heading to Latin American dance class. The class was fun! We learned two dances, one of which I was pretty horrid at, but then again so were most people. It was a good workout and so funny, but so good to know for the future!
Our group of Americans are pretty close now, and we go to the bars and dgaf. It is going to be interesting now that we are all learning to dance..
